Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Rd. All in the community are welcome to attend. Professional storyteller, actress and drama teacher Paddy Lynn, will perform "Early Days of Lake County". Did you ever wonder what the early days were like? What is the history of this area and who were the early pioneers? Paddy Lynn portrays Caroline Wright, daugher of Daniel Wright, the first settler in Lake County. Caroline tells the story of the journey to this lush and beautiful area dating from the early 1830's all the way up to the 1920's. She recounts numerous stories of the early settlers, the first school houses, the underground railroad and the Great Train Robbery in Roundout. The stories are a beautiful weave of history, emotion, and the foundation for what we now call Lake County, Illinois. Refreshments will be served.
